Aleš Lamr comes from the family of stove makers/fitters settled for generations in Litovel. His creative scope has always been wide but he has predominantly been a painter. Lamr's early creative output of the 1960s and 1970s reflects an inspiration searched for in imaginative are, but also in comics or pop-art. He received numerous awards and is represented in Czech as well as foreign art collections. He also participated in the decoration od the presidential office of the Prague Castle at the time of Václav Havel's presidency.
