Heinrich Adolf Lier
1826 – 1882
German landscape painter active in the second half of the 19th century in Munich; he studied painting at the Parisian Academy, was a pupil of an important representative of the Barbizon school, Camille Corot and also Charles Daubigny. His attractive palette of warm colours soon gained appreciation and popularity among the art lovers especially in Germany and Austria. His works are represented in the Munich Neue Pinakothek and in numerous other collections.
